    Examples of Finals Week Insanity
So roommate Sam was whining about his final papers.
It was decided something needed to be done to fix him.

All of a sudden, in a flurry of activity, Ali and Jessie paper his face in Winnie the Pooh band-aids and declare "all better"

    Oh, finals week.

so tonight, instead of working on my 10 page final research paper in spanish for spanish which i have pretty much not started yet and is due the tuesday after thanksgiving, i watched "death to smoochy" with my friends.

i'm much the better for it mentally, but not so much academically. this will bite me in the ass in a few days, but oh well.

perhaps i will go read my sources and find stuff i can write about.

    ----

i'm coming home tomorrow. that's most exciting. my roommate sam and his girlfriend jessie will be in tow. they are nice. i hope they enjoy themselves in gtown.

i cannot wait to see everyone - family, friends, that one crazy polirish girl i've had a crush on since forever, etc

    see you all tomorrow glastonbury!

I had the most phenomenal night last night.
My friends and I held a "Murder Mystery Dinner" - basically everyone gets a character and you dress up in costume (1920s was our theme) and then someone dies and you spend the rest of the night wheeling and dealing to either findout who did it or save your good name. we essentially acted out the game of "Clue" in person.

it was an unbelievable success. we redecorated the suite to look all spiffy, had lots of food and everyone got really into it.

    ten points to us all

then, since we were already in such fabulous costumes, we clearly had to go the grille and get food in costume. the man at the juice bar clearly thinks we are insane/the coolest ever.

then a crazy spur of the moment dance party with all sorts of cool people.

    i highly approve.

i'm so glad my midd friends are every bit as willing to be strange and quirky as i am.
    good times

    You're a Dolphin!

Revered by many, mysterious to some, playful to others, you are one
of the more discussed people around. You're clearly very smart, but you don't really
seem to apply the intelligence much. You seem more determined to figure out how to
relax and maximize your personal pleasure, which you do an excellent job of. When
you were younger, you had a terribly traumatic accident with a tunafish can.
Whenever you leave places, you have a strange habit of yelling out "So long, and
    thanks for all the fish!"

anyone out there remember what the sun looks like, because, frankly, i have no idea

and bummer on the applefest, no? sorry to hear that didn't pan out well kids.

on a different note, my fall break starts halfway through this week, so i will be home for tues eve, weds and thurs before hitting clark to see that girl i've liked for some time on the weekend.

moral of the story: i know it's a weekday, but i would like to see anyone who's around. let me know if you will be free for visiting :)

    Hey gang

So I won't be able to make it home for Applefest, which breaks my heart. Essentially, both because of rehearsals for Little Shop and because of homework, I just can't get home. I feel bad because I've been especially bad at keeping in touch with gtowners this semester despite my vow to do otherwise.

So yea, even if I haven't spoken with you in a while, it's more because I'm wicked insanely busy than any lack of feeling. Let's stay friends.

I miss you all. See you at Thanksgiving. Love

So this morning I was sitting down, attempting to be a good student and write an outline out for the paper I have to write tonight for history tomorrow and my computer decides it wants to be a slut and freeze/crash.

Bear in mind that this is after several weeks of various issues and problems in the laptop world.

So I go to the Land of Techie in the library, weeping and wailing and clutching the lifeless shell of my laptop to my breast, begging for help.

Turns out the only thing they could do to save it was a lobotomy. So my entire hard drive was wiped and all I got to save were my pictures and my papers (for which I am most grateful, mind you) but I have to redownload everything from music to AIM to adobe acrobat to who knows what!

    It's wicked annoying.

    Up yours, computer gods!

Last night was utterly ridiculous. And by ridiculous, I mean amazing. This years marks the ten year anniversary of musical theater at Middlebury College, so clearly, we musical theater dorks got together and held a musical gala. Essentially, about 30 people got together in a room with a piano and sang show tunes and ate lots of cookies for four solid hours.

Seriously, from 7 to 11, without stopping, it was just loads of show tunes.

Then I came back and watched "Cool Hand Luke" which was a decent enough film. I think I need to watch it again.

But yea, I'm just amazed at the ridiculous amount of showtunes that invaded my life yesterday. Good times.

Many thanks for the cookies and the cd, Cecca!

So I'm finally starting to get settled enough at Middlebury to have time to update LiveJournal, which I guess is saying something.

Anyways, things here are quite good. Enjoying the suite action that's going on this year and definitely loving having a normal viable roommate relationship. I realized yesterday that in the space of a single hour, Sam and I had more conversation than I had with Hyun the entire year before. Crazy, huh?

Classes started today. Weird, in many ways. One, because I have to get back into the routine of having classes and doing homework and two, because I'm so far behind the rest of the college world in getting started. But hey, such is Middlebury. I think my classes are going to work out really well, though. U.S. History will be U.S. History, as it always is and Spanish is going to be really intense and hardcore, but a lot of fun because of that. Tomorrow I get to investigate the American Politics and Sociology of Culture situation.

Oh man, I totally just remembered that I have Politics at 830 tomorrow morning. That sucks hardcore. Curses. Ah well, hopefully the class will be worth it.

Life is good. Love to you all
Oh and totally call Mama K and wish her a happy birthday tomorrow. It will make her day :)

Yesterday was a lot of fun. I meant to talk about it yesterday when I would remember it better, but clearly, I forgot.

First of all, moving lots of crap from Tobin's back yard to the dump/bulky waste is a lot more of an adventure/goodtime than one would ever think. So that was good times.

And then spending about 4 hours just hanging at the fountain with becca and lauren z. was really cool. the fact that the three of us could just sit and talk with no regard to the time and never run out of things to say was really neat. and i was glad to do so because i hadn't really talked with either of them in a while. so yea, that was cool.

overall it was an excellent day.

and it got me out of the house where i sit and do nothing all the time. woot.

Oh man. So, I'm kinda bored here at work (as usual) so I decided to take the suggestion of Miss Laura Mc and go through old Livejournal entries and see where I was around a year ago.

Ironically enough, I was writing entries about how bored I was at work. Man, some things never change.

I was also going through that whole "done with high school, moving on to college, ahh scary" phase. college-bound kids, i feel you on that one. just be prepared for what just might be the best time of your life. and keep your door open. meet lots of people. i mean it.

I also was just getting in contact with my roommate for freshman year. Oh Hyun. If you don't know his story, ask me and I'll fill you in. Suffice it to say, it's quite entertaining.

And I found a really intriguing one where I went on about how I wasn't sure if I had made the right decision college-wise. Wow. I remember that. I'm glad it all worked out alright though.

    Crazy how life is, no?

On a completely different note - C sharp.

Wow, aren't I clever. Right. Enough rambling from me. Au revoir!
